Please be informed that we have enhanced the Terms and Conditions of the Housing Loan/  Financing Contracts (“Terms and Conditions”) for individual and Small, Medium Enterprise (“SME”) customers following to the fair treatment requirements which shall take effect from 1 September 2019.

1)What is the purpose of the notification from the Bank regarding the improvement to the terms and conditions of my Housing Loan/ Financing Contracts (“Terms and Conditions”)?

This notification aims to inform customers that the Bank has enhanced the Terms and Conditions to provide better transparency and reasonable plain language, adopting the principles of fair treatment to customers.

2)Will this impact my existing Housing Loan/Financing Contract?

There will be no major impact on your Housing Loan/ Financing Contracts. The credit terms such as loan amount, interest rate, loan tenure, repayment remain unchanged. The purpose of the enhanced Terms and Conditions is stated in FAQ Question No 1) as above.

3) Will there be any additional fees or charges arising from enhancement of Terms and Conditions?

There are no additional fees and charges to be paid by customers.

4) When will be the improved Terms and Conditions take effect?

The enhanced Terms and Conditions of Housing Loan/Financing Contracts for existing and new customers will take effect from 1 September 2019.
